they said 2010 Q1 so first quarter is the first 3 months. Yes you are correct no later than end of march. But of course we all know release dates can be pushed
back further if need be. They can take their sweet time for all I care, I'd rather they get it right rather than rushing to meet some deadline. Hopefully
a demo will be released a month or two ahead of time.
In order for this game to be a success in my mind, it must satisfy 5 criterias. 1. Must be fast paced. I dont want to feel like im running through quick-sand. 2. Line of sight rather than cone fired weapon systems. 3. Accurate hit boxes. 4. Easy to use character HUDs and rapid use of player functionality (i.e. controls, weapon switch/utilization, jumping, pouncing, crouching, etc...) 5. Like counter strike and cod4-5, custom maps are auto downloaded upon entering the server = a god send for mappers and server owners who customize. I am interested in seeing how they will do weapon kits or classes, can i pick up kits? Or just stack up on weapons?, will we all now have to aim down our sights seeing as how most fps games are like this, will there be crosshairs while weapons are down? Will draw weapons be an option in this game? One thing I think would be cool, do not give a motion tracker to all marines make one or two characters the only ones to carry one in order to force communication and team work amongst marines, if not that then at least make it to where every marine has to holster their weapon in order to pull out the tracker to look at it rather than putting some stupid picture of a tracker on the HUD at all times. I think this would make things a bit more spooky. |

Yup, still plenty of time. We are all getting excited but right now makes no difference if its 6 or 8 months.
I think its fast paced from the pred game play they've shown. Only aliens have to be faster. And hit boxes need to be accurate. Its really annoying in AvP2 when you shoot at bunnyhoppers or crouchers and they don't lose health. The maps thing too - we get 0.7 civilians per map in average when we play a custom map. Btw we played The Rock last night, would be nice to see something like that in avp3. Teamwork would be cool, but I don't think they are going to leave a marine without a motion tracker. Maybe in A:CM. Some dude started a Q&A with Rebellion in the avp2galaxy forums, you can check that out but I don't know if its for real. Plenty of questions tho. We should see a new footage soon. Hopefully/probably a marine gameplay. The Leipzig gaming convention seems to be canceled, so probably in Cologne in August. |

yeah im tracking the august thing for the marine game play demo. hopefully it will debut there but wow thats a long time between marine game play and alien
game play demos if the alien demo comes out just before the games release. perhaps they will show the alien demo a couple of months before the release. that
would be a nice xmas gift =)

remember => glitch, stagger, bunny bunny jump, disc,
etc ...). And
my first request a anti hacking protection for eliminate cheaters (know cannot remove all cheaters but 90% of little noobs will be remove ).

after watching the interview and reading the other link i still have a problem with the whole focused jump thing for the pred, it has its pros and cons, it
will be more pros if its easy to use on the fly and doesnt get in the way of multi tasking while switching weapons and shooting at the same time etc...I hope
their is a hefty/normal jump ability (alternate jump ability, short range and pure judgement) to go along with it. Trophy kills are cool but you'd only
want to use that ability while stalking LONE prey. Otherwise in multi you'll be ganged raped by aliens and marines while performing it. I do have a
problem with the limited energy, it connotes not having an energy sifter. If there are places to sift enery from as opposed to having a device that just gives
away your location, those places you know will be camped. I dont mean to sound negative, I have high hopes for this game, I just wish I could ask the
questions myself instead of some gay geek looking at the CEO's croch, spewing out freudian slips such as "seeing stuff drip on the floor" and
then having the CEO quickly replying "yeah from the ceiling." lol

I've seen a lot of comments about the focused jump and people don't really like it that much, well people that have been playing AvP games for longer
time. That thing will only be interesting for new players and I hope they put an option to turn if off so all the people don't have to deal with it.
Yeah its true, marines/aliens can camp the places preds must go and recharge, another thing that can be bad for preds, in MP. Anyway, we should see the marine gameplay really soon so again we can go like "omg i can't believe they did that wtf". And a Q/A was announced before, about the pred gameplay but no word about it so far. If/when it comes out will be posted here. |
