Well, I finally found out why my computer has been crashing so much. The 7800 vid card is no more. Yup, the video card was my problem the entire time. Tomorrow
we are ordering a new card from newegg,com but this time we are going big... BFG Tech GTS 250. Hopefully I won't have any issues with it. I'd hook up
another vid card to the computer but I don't have any AGP slots on the MB. Oh well.. I'll be back soon.

Well, we've decided to NOT go after the GTS 250 card, but instead we are going to order an Nvidia 9800 GTX card instead, but it's still going to be a
couple days till I get it. So until then... I won't be in game :-( sorry guys, you'll have to do without my pissing and moaning for a few more days lol

Either card is nice. My 9800 GTX+ is still a great card. Almost all the games I run... except Crysis, I get about 40-60 frames off of with 16X10 resolution,
and everything high AA at 2x or 0x. Mind you I also know that having an AMD 6400+ Dual Core CPU overclocked to 4.0 Ghz.
All I would say is that it runs a little warm, just make sure you've got a good case that has good cooling or add an extra fan inside the case. -Tears |
